Kulala Desert Lodge and Little Kulala Camp are the only two lodges inside the Kulala Wilderness Reserve which is adjacent to the national park at Sossusvlei and runs daily excursions into the dunes via their direct access gate.
Staff at Kulala Desert Lodge are service orientated, and with a variety of half day and full day excursions available Kulala Desert Lodge is one of the lodges in the Sossusvlei area where a minimum of two nights is recommended in order to take advantage of all the lodge has to offer.

Kulala Desert Lodge Accommodation
The chalets at Kulala Desert Lodge are built in a rustic manner from wood, thatch and canvas designed to blend with the surrounding desert landscape while keeping the chalets as cool as possible in the scorching Namib desert heat.
Chalets have en-suite bathrooms and ceiling fans, with comfortable beds and crisp linens.
Behind the chalets a staircase leads to a rooftop area perfect for an afternoon siesta or if you fancy sleeping out under the starlit sky then you can ask the staff to make up your bed here.

The decking areas, both in front of the chalets and in the communal areas, offer stunning desert views.
The swimming pool area is a good place to relax and cool down during the heat of the day and the restaurant serves scrumptious meals including a buffet style dinner.
The kitchen can cater for different diets on request including vegetarians.

Activities at Kulala Desert Lodge
Various excursions into the dunes to visit Deadvlei, Big Daddy and other dunes can be arranged allowing early access to the dunes via a private access gate, as well as nature and game drives around the Kulala Wilderness Reserve.
Please note that if you drive yourself into the dunes you will need to make use of the park gate at Sesriem (15km) which opens at sunrise.
