Where to stay Inside the
Namib Naukluft Park at Sossusvlei
For early access to the dunes at Sossusvlei you should stay at one of the lodges or campsites situated inside the national park gate. Guests staying inside the park at Sossusvlei will have earlier access to the dunes as the internal access gate to Sossusvlei which is locked at sunset, just like the external park gate, opens approximately 1 hour before the park entrance gate (which only opens at sunrise). If you arrive at Sesriem after the park gate closes at sunset then you will not be allowed access into the park or into these Sossusvlei camps even if you have a reservation.
Dead Valley Lodge
Built in 2019 Dead Valley Lodge is only the second lodge to be permitted inside the park gates at Sesriem. Luxury accommodation is provided on a full board basis in en-suite tented chalets with climate control and panoramic views.

Sossus Dune Lodge
The first lodge to be built in the Namib-Naukluft Park at Sesriem was Sossus Dune Lodge. Sossus Dune Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in chalets built in an eco friendly design from wood, thatch and canvas and providing stunning views over the Namib Desert.

Sesriem Campsite
There are 24 campsites at Sesriem built in the shade of camelthorn trees. Each campsite has its own fireplace / braai area (BBQ) and tap.

Sesriem Oshana Campsite
Sesriem Oshana offers private campsites inside the park each with their own toilet and kitchen preparation area. Guests may use the swimming pool at the nearby Sesriem Campsite.

Kulala Wilderness Reserve
The privately managed Kulala Wilderness Reserve also has their own private access gate into the Sossusvlei national park. This means that guests staying at one if the two luxurious lodges in this reserve can be amongst the very first to arrive in the dunes by joining one of the guided excursions into the desert.
